      Distinctively freckled with a full-bodied, earthy flavor, Cadia Organic Pinto Beans are perfectly suited for the zesty cuisine of the American Southwest and are a good source of protein. These versatile beans star in many traditional Mexican and Southwestern dishes. They have a mild flavor and are delicious whole or refried. Try them in chili, stews, tostadas, burritos, dips, and more. No preservatives. Beans are a natural agricultural product. Despite the use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign materials. Sort, remove foreign material and rinse beans before cooking.       Cooking Instructions: Quick Soak: Rinse and sort beans. Place beans in a large pot and add 3 cups water per 1 cup beans. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 1 hour. Drain, rinse and follow cooking instructions. Overnight Soak: Rinse and sort beans. Place beans in a large pot and add 3 cups cold water per 1 cup beans. Let stand overnight or at least 6-8 hours. Drain, rinse and follow cooking instructions. Cooking Instructions: Place soaked beans in a large pot. Add 3 cups water per 1 cup beans. Simmer gently with a tilted lid 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until beans reach desired tenderness. Add desired salt and seasonings during last half hour of cooking. Note: 1 cup dry beans = about 3 cups cooked beans.
